Members of the group decide on a topic in the area about which they wish to talk. They research the chosen topic and present it to the group.
We are currently coming towards the end of a year of meetings examining the history of many aspects of Eastern Europe from ancient times up to the present day. We have considered Byzantium, the Ottoman and Austrian Empires, the Baltic States, Poland and Bulgaria.
Starting in March 2025, we shall begin a series of debates, based upon an initial presentation. These will not follow a theme as such, and may involve contentious subjects.
All members are welcome to attend our meetings. If you would like to join our group or find out more about us please contact Derek Johnston using the email icon at the top of this page
