The purpose of our group is to explore the history of the North-East through the medium of talks and visits.
Talks, which are usually illustrated, are given either by U3A members or local experts but we understand that many members just want to come along to enjoy the show and perhaps learn something new. The equipment for showing graphics and DVDs is first class.
Over the summer months we pay visits to local sites of historical interest.
Titles of forthcoming talks are sent to group members in a monthly email.
We are quite a large group, and any U3A member, or potential member can come along to a meeting if they think they might be interested in the topic. You don’t have to join the group and come to all our meetings but if you would like to be included in the group mailing list, please contact Laurie Walker using the email icon at the top of the page.
